What is a cabin charter?
A cabin charter is basically chartering one bed or one cabin on a crewed sailing yacht. The cabin charter mentality is for people who do want to sail the Greek islands and be part of a team, meet new people and sail together as a group.
Who can be part of a cabin charter?
Anyone who wants to sail can register for our cruises. If you are a single, a couple, or even a family who prefers to charters a bigger yacht and to be part of a ‘bigger sailing family’ everyone is welcome. Just tell us your needs and we will find the cabin charter that suits you.
Where can I go and what can I see?
Our charters start and end in Athens. This can change if someone charters one cabin, one week but the itinerary is two weeks, so in this case if someone sails for the first week only he will start in Athens but disembark on an island and will take the ferry back to Athens. The itinerary depends mostly on the time of the year and the wind conditions. Either a round trip to the Saronic and Argolic islands like Aigina, Poros, Hydra, Ermioni, Spetses etc, or a round trip to the Cyclades islands like Kythnos, Syros, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini, Milos, etc. During the day we sail from one island to the other, stop for a swim, and we usually spend the night at a port. People can go sightseeing, and have dinner in one of the local ‘tavernas’ of the islands, trying the local specialties. Either as a group, or alone, together with your partner you have the night free for yourselves.
Do I need to have any knowledge before signing up for a cabin charter?
Sailing knowledge is not needed in order to participate to a cabin charter. If you do have sailing knowledge you are welcomed to help the skipper or ask in order to improve your knowledge. Anyone with passion to sail is welcomed to join us.
Do I need to bring anything extra with me?
When packing your bags for a sailing trip remember to put your sun screen lotion, a hat and sun glasses, swimming suits, and light clothing (t-shirts and shorts). A light windproof jacket is also recommended. Non slipper shoes or sandals are also needed on board. Remember not to bring a heavy – hard case suitcase as the space on a sailing yacht is limited.
